Certainly not a common seashell and officially known as Guildfordia Yoka, these Yoka Star Turbans are very delicate, light and pretty seashells and are found in tropical waters all the way from Japan right down to Australia and sit on rocky sea beds or as deep as 500 metres in sea waters in this area. The Yoka Star Turban Shells have several spines with the turban like centre which ranges in colour from a coppery brown to pink. Ours measure approximately 7 cms in diameter including the spines. and are usually in short supply. These are from the turbinidae family and are classed as deeper water sea snails. A great addition to any collection if you want something a little different from the norm. Remember, light, small. delicate. pretty and different these are great decorative shell ideas!
