We are more seashells than fossils but these lovely boxes are imported in to Dorset and remains of ancient life! The Jurassic coast close to us holds interesting history, a few years ago some workmen in a Dorset quarry discovered 140 millions old footprints from roaming herds of auropods, the largest of dinosaurs. We can see the hills where the footprints were discovered from the door of our shop. So there’s the connection! Its a fossil box measuring 8 cms by 5 cms x 3 cms with about 15 fossils which are millions of years old. Measuring on average 2 cms you should be able to find shark teeth, trilobite, nautiloid, crinoid, brachiopod and ammonites. What a collection in this One and Only Fossil Box!
