These ladies are the next generation up and as we find with that generation, are looking sprightly no doubt from a healthy lifestyle, not much red meat and growing their own vegetables. We find it refreshing when down on the seafront in the Winter to often see several of these braving the elements and long may they continue. A good 7 inches tall and an impressive

Galileo Thermometer |

Quirky? Cool? Conversation starter,
conversation finisher? We have our Galileo thermometers
in several sizes and have also introduced the teardrop
thermometer too.
These sealed glass cylinders contain a clear liquid and several coloured glass vessels of varying density. As Galileo discovered hundreds of years ago, if the density within the vessels differs they bob up and down according to the temperature and the temperature is indicated by the brass tag on the lowest vessel. Well, we think that's the theory.
For those scientifically inclined amongst our customers, we hope we have described the workings of these accurately. Our source of reference was Freddie Mercury's Bohemian Rhapsody where he says Galileo several times in a high pitched voice towards the end of the track so he must have had one of these. We've just downloaded the track on i-tunes and the lyrics don't refer to exactly how his one worked but he does seem quite excited about it.

The large lady in a swimming costume is traditionally a rather good selling line down here on the Dorset Coast. Our ever so slightly large sitting
ladies come in resin with swimsuits in one of two colours. A "tongue in cheek" seaside line
and these do of course shape around a shelf, like our sitting
fishermen, so can reside anywhere where a drawer doesn't slam to knock them off their perch. The
flatness of each derriere secures the perfect shelf sitting position.

Hanging Wooden Seagull

Back by popular demand and also called seagull flappers.
Singularly the most difficult wooden animal to film in the wild as real seagulls appear from nowhere,
tilt their heads sideways and adopt a breeding posture. We found somewhere quiet for the photo shoot
and apologise for the poor quality of these pictures. 3 minutes photographing was long enough.
These wooden seagull mobiles hang on string, pull the string downwards and the wings flap.
If you do this outside this movement is guaranteed to attract the attention of any passing gull with
time on its hands.
Measures 26 inches from top of the string to base string with the small wooden bobble
on it. This is the bit you pull to create flapping affect. Measures 17 inches from hanging part of string
to wooden base of seagull. Wingspan is 12 inches and length of seagull is 8 inches. Great to hang from
children's bedrooms ceilings as a seaside mobile, but do have string parts so not suitable to children
under the age of three.
